Preparation for the Commonwealth Championships Cape Town 2011.

The lifters competing at the Commonwealth Championships and African Championships had a training session in two provinces namely Gauteng and Western Province.

Dear Friends,

Attached please find the timetable for the Commonwealth Championships to be held in Cape Town,  South Africa.    Please note that there may be some slight changes to this,  depending on the final entries at the verification meeting.

Also attached please find the final entries for the Commonwealth.  It appears that these championships may be the biggest ever Commonwealth championships in numbers of athletes.  We have two B sessions allocated and as yet we do not have the full number of non-commonwealth African nations,  which may in effect increase the number of athletes and increase the number of B sessions required.

Also please note that a few names may be missing,  due to forms not being filled in properly or clearly.  Also some spelling may not be correct – again for the same reason.   All of this will be rectified at the Verification Meeting.

The referees list will be published very soon.
